doodling art for a Saturday post..

It was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL Saturday here and I am so thankful for it!  Spring is awesome and Summer is coming finally I think!
Recently..I took a plane trip to see my new beautiful baby grand daughter..  :)  Sitting on the plane I was playing in my water color moleskin.  I have been trying to doodle as much as possible..
I had used these 2 pages to "roll off" some paint and stencil earlier so that was my starting point on the plane.  I used a sharpie, some inktense pencils and some Imagine Crafts *R /Tsukineko Memento dual tip markers *TM   (color combo= meadowland).   Great combination for a plane trip!  I just got the markers and this color combo is amazing!  The colors are "potter's clay", "tangelo", "rhubarb stalk" and "bamboo leaves".
They are so rich and vibrant!  Didnt bring my stamps so I did a little improvising in the right upper corner of Jo-Capper Sandon"s dandelion duo image :)  Not as cute for sure but hey...I am doodling remember?

"different is good"..

Sharing a couple of cards that were a hoot to make :)  First off  - Using "birdy up" from the Stampotique store.  I colored these four cuties and cut them out to put them on kraft cs, scraps of dp, stenciled back ground and a splatter of turquoise ink..This is also for the "use it Tuesday" challenge: sticky situation= I got these little stick on dots from CHA..didnt know what I would do with them and the sentiment is a sticker from an old sheet of sentiments tucked in the bottom of my stash drawers.

Next, the new challenge at the dt blog is to make a birthday card..here is "moth loved"..he he!  Just celebrating a birthday!..sentiment is computer generated :)

"Field of dreams"

Less is More challenge blog is asking for a one layer card and the theme behind it should include a movie title.  I love this stamp image called "spider grass" along with this sentiment "you're strong".
I inked spider grass with distressed inks and sprayed a little water on it before I stamped it..then colored around it with copics.  Simple but glowing...movie title thinking?  "Field of Dreams"..
Switching gears a bit..We celebrated my oldest daughter's 32nd birthday yesterday with one of her favorite dinners: my hub's soup!  I sat down to make her a card and decided  I wanted to paint instead!  Here is the "quick" result!
This little canvas in a frame was in the discount isle at Hobby Lobby screaming at me! lol  I used acrylics, stencils and TH flower cut.  This pic of her when she was little cracks me up :)  Tiny result but fun!  TFL

SDC 95 April showers

Just in time for the new challenge at the dt blog we have some rain where I live today!  Sarinda is hosting and she is asking for "April showers" themed creations.  I had a blast with my journal page!
I used Liquitex acyrlics, white uniball pen, prisma color markers, stencils from TCW (Dina and Julie) a black pitt pen and the following images from Stampotique :   Upward bound (Zara bunny image) ," funky dotted" and "funky striped leaves" and "birdy".  I was never a "pink" person but find myself using it A LOT now for some odd reason!  Seriously tho..what a fun challenge to get in on this week!  Get out your Stamps and go for it!  You could be in the running for a $30. gift to shop at the Stampotique store!   Make sure you hop over and see Sarinda's very cool page too- she is one creative lady!    Linking to :  "Art Journal Journey"  =  =landscape within me theme.  TFL!
