3 Smiles!

Stampotique challenge blog has a new challenge to use 3 squares on your creation.  I picked up my "3 smiles" image from Stampotique and stamped on a painty panel.  I sewed a border and added some punched "file tabs" on top.  My 3 squares are on the bottom also punched with a very small sq punch.   I love this image for a Halloween card and some fun journal pages. Challenge entered : Simon Says -anything goes.
Next is a little bit of art journaling I made a while back.  The sentiment is totally me! lol
Supplies:  sprays, acrylics, stencils, gesso, permopaque marker orange, tag and bookpages., "sun design", "Marci" and "daisy daisy" all from Stampotique.  Challenge:  Crazy Amigos-  something other then a card.
Thanks for looking!

Happy Saturday!

Are you enjoying the Fall?  I totally am!  My favorite season full of color!  Had to get some art journaling in for this Saturday...I started back to art school (thanks to hub- :) with a sketching class and decided to journal a bit about it.  We have ALOT of homework in the way of sketching and since it is a great way to pass the time while waiting I dont mind :) Sketching is good practice so one should always be prepared!
You begin to look forward to "waiting" anywhere when you have some art supplies with you!  LOL
I used "bird lady" 2414 (new) and "scalloped lace" 2405 both from artist Roc Nicholas at Stampotique.  I colored her with my inktense pencils and water..not copics! for once :) and a white uniball pen thru some sequin waste.  I started with lots of TH distressed ink pads and water, Julie Balzer stencils, "swirl stalks" image also from Stampotique and some acyrlic paints.  I also did some colors with a couple permapaque pens..idea from Roc= love them now!
Challenges for my art journal pages:  Show and Tell Saturdays at Artists in Blogland, Art Journal everyday, Paint Party Friday and Creative Every day...theme= time!    Next the sketch over at the Unscripted Sketches blog....  I used "oh boys" #6149 (stampotique) and colored them with Copics.  I placed them on some washi tape (hoard this stuff!)  = Use it Tuesday anything goes... and did some sewing.
Looking for some "Halloween "challenges I saw one at the "Hiding in my craft room" blog.  I used dp from the "lost and found" MME collection Halloween pad.
Enjoy your weekend and thanks for looking :)

Sat at the Unscripted blog

There is a new sketch at the Unscripted Sketches blog and this is the week for the "piggy back" challenge.  I used "grumpy koala" from the Stampotique store = another new image from  the Sept release.
The "piggy back" at the US blog is to actually use your card...they have listed some sites you can go to for info and I picked "Card Cupids" .   Card Cupids with the help of numerous volunteers, provides Card Cuddle Care Packages to countless children in hospitals, foster care, homeless shelters as well as children facing difficulties regardless of their economic background.  Sounds like a great plan to me .  I started inking thru a crafters workshop stencil for my background and then I stamped over that with some random number stamps. Grumpy Koala is colored with Copics and cut out.  I finished with some washi tapes, a computer generated generic "hello" (so they can use how they need to) and some crazy stitching around it and the border punched loop from a book page.
I am also entering in the following challenges:  "things that make you go awwwww" = papertake weekly challenge blog,   Drunken Stampers (they crack me up with that name! lol )= use washi tape!,
Use it Tuesday= anything goes, I hoard washi tape so I have used it! :)
Raise the bar challenge blog= things with wings= this grumpy koala has two little birdies on his head!
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!

Mustard, Navy and Orange for SDC 65

I am hosting the new challenge at the Stampotique designers' challenge blog. :)  I have always been crazy about the colors Mustard, Navy and Orange so here you are!  Use them!  Dont forget that the NEW rules at the blog say you can use any images now, not just Stampotique,  so I hope you will join me and the dt to create something with these colors.
The new Stampotique Sept images are out and they are SO cool!  I'm  happy too for one of our dt members (Maria) who is presenting a line of stamps of her own.  I used one of her images here.

Say hello to "rainy day" #7303.  This is only one of the cute bunnies Maria has drawn.  I colored him with some YR copics and put him on some BG pb&j papers on top of a white paint splatted back.   I also used  the "rain rain go away" sentiment from Stampotique on some washi tapes.  Check out the dt offerings and thanks for looking!

"two great talkers will not travel far together"

SK 144 US 175.jpg

Love this sentiment!  Happy Saturday and welcome to another sketch over at the Unscripted Sketches blog.
I really had no clue what I was going to do with this! :)  So out came the journal and "the tweedles" along with the computer sentiment which I love.

I gessoed and sprayed my background .  I used a J.Balzer 6x6 cloud stencil, dylusions sprays, inktense pencils and a "word cloud " stencil (lcs).  Besides "the Tweedles" from Stampotique...I used "sun design", "bla bla bla", and "daisy daisy".
The Tweedles are colored with copics and cut out.  I am linking up to "art journal every day", "artists in blogland" and "paint party Friday".  Thanks for looking! P.S. you can click on the pic to see it better

Roc Nicholas has NEW images :)

If you have been "hopping" with the rest of the groupies in the Stampotique  dt hop.......its my turn!
Today ...Stampotique is sharing the last artist,  (of the NEW Sept 2012  images out) who makes some fabulous stamps for all those altered journals out there.  (and VERY COOL ALTERED ENVELOPES :)   She's also one of our talented design team members.  Are you ready to see some of Roc Nicholas' new images?    First ,   here is my creation in my art journal using a few of the newbies she has gifted us with!
I used "crooked house" #2413, "little church" #2418 and "flying bird" # 2416

Besides preparing my pages with gesso, Dylusions, TH inks and acrylics...I used stencils and copics to color images.  I printed home sweet home on my computer and then just stamped crooked house on it and cut it out.  The sentiment (computer generated by me- self  :)  =  "A small town is a place where everyone knows whose check is good and whose husband is not"  he hehe...okay, well....I DO live in a small town...and YES...this is true...lol
(I also used "two sticks" and "bla bla" also from Stampotique)

Hop along with some of the design team today to see some of Roc's new images and come back (to the dt blog )  and let us know what some of your favorites are.   Stick with us until tomorrow and one of you might be rewarded with some goodies.
Roc is sharing with us one of her creations here along with on her blog, so make sure to check it out!
You'll want to start off your hop over at Kaz's blog.

Tomoro there will be a GRAND FINALE of fun with all the dt participating showing creations with the new images from all the new artists! Fun!  Thanks for looking- See you tomoro!

NEWS :) and the new sketch at the US blog

NEWS! Stampotique has a few BRAND NEW lines coming out!  OMG..wait till you see how cute they are!  Over at the dt blog today  part of the team is showing you a FIRST  look at ONE of the new lines of images.  Each day you are able to "hop" to a few blogs and see which ones are your favs. (hard to do believe me!)  Take a look and remember to stop every day this week to see them all.  I cant show you mine yet...BUT..I WILL later in the week! :)  There is also a new sketch over at the Unscripted Sketches blog.  I used "Old timey frog" from artist Kira Nichols at Stampotique for my card.
Nice and simple sketch which I used the BG clippings pad to start with.  I layed that down on white cs and stamped and colored old timey frog with copics.  I also used "sun design" and "just because" also from Stampotique.  The little flowers were punched with the same dp (cant see it too well here) and I doodled the centers with a black pit pen.  The gear is from a Prima pack (love em) with a bunch of cool buttons in it.  I am entering this in the following challenges:
Basic Grey= use a punch and BG paper, The crazy challenge blog= anything goes, and a new challenge blog for me: Going grey with Scrap-creations= "off the edge"..froggy is riding off the edge :)   Thanks for looking!
