Unscripted sketches #108 and Crazy for challenges

Lovin these sketches over at the "unscripted sketches" challenge blog and now that I have a little more time I love how fast my cards come together. :)  I used these cute little images from Crafty Secrets and made this little 4 x 5 card with dp from the DCWV mod retro pad.  The bottom swirl border stamp was from the dollar store!
Next is this other cute image also from Crafty Secrets (a friend stamped off for me :) and colored with copics.  Dp used is BG pyrus and I used a MS border (gate) punch.  Sentiment is computer generated.
I made this card for the Crazy 4 Challenges blog : "going on vacation"...wish this was me and my hub!!

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful week!  We are hoping for some dry weather so we can TRY to put the garden in!

New challenge blog!

When checking out an amazing blog (awesome coloring inspiration!)  I follow by Pam Sparks...I found she is on the dt for this new challenge blog called Christmas challenges (with sketches).  I think this blog is a great idea since it gives us all a chance to get going on our Christmas cards!  I got a few really cool stamped images from a friend from Crafty Secrets and decided to use this cool Santa.  I followed the sketch and colored him with copics, did a little sewing on the edges, and put together my first card for Christmas!

Thanks for looking and take a peek over there and get ready for Christmas!  :)

Unscripted Sketches...and...Gini :)

Good Monday morn!  Need to get out of the slump and on to a new start!  Heading over to the " Unscripted sketches challenge blog  was my answer AND a sweet rak from my bloggin buddy "Gini" in England!  Yep..I got  TWO yummy image pads= Crafty individuals co. UK "people and places" in the mail the other day and used one of these to make a card for the US challenge #107.  Thank you sweet Gini!  :)  Love how quickly your card comes together from their sketches.  I used 7 gypsies Venice pad along with crate paper= portrait and a few flowers to make this.  I loved this sketch!  Really different!  I got the black square Vintage button at the local antique mall and USketches has a "piggyback" on this challenge to use "metal" somewhere on your creation...I bought the little metal washers on a markdown table and just glued them on ( over the rhinestones) and one by itself with "k i gloo".  TFL and I hope u have a wonderful week!

healing wishes...

Lately it seems like I have NO time what so ever...or mojo for that matter.  I joined a new group of women who get together once a month and try a new technique or some new kind of Art project.  Last night was the first night with them and it was AMAZING...  loved it!  I hope to get motivated now!   This card is for my sister.  She has been in the hospital for about a week with an odd type of infection that is affecting her kidneys.  I am going to see her today and we are all pulling for her to get better.  I made this card this morning in about 10 minutes....thats pretty quick for me!  TFL....and I hope you have sunshine where you are at because we have had nothing but rain here- :(

New Stampotique challenge..RECYCLE!

Do you recycle?  I try to!  Well...it is FUN when you are talkin about using things to add to your cards and scrapbooks and etc.  The new challenge over at the Stampotique challenge blog is to recycle something on your creation.  This is "pretty party dress" from the Stampotique store and I have used it before and yes...I adore it!  I recycled my scraps and a little piece of material, like netting with sparkles on it . (over the dress)  The blue circle that actually says "recycle" on it was a tag from a pair of jeans I bought .  I find myself saving ALL the tags I get when I purchase something new....do any of you do that?  Not sure what I am gonna do with them but some are really cool looking! lol   Grab a look over at the blog to see what the other girls have done! TFL!

I Miss the Southwest..

My sister lives in New Mexico and talk about an "artsy" town....wow..Between Santa Fe and Albuquerque...there is art everywhere!  Did I mention that it's pretty "warm" too?  :)  What a change from Cleveland Ohio.  As I write this post it's raining AGAIN....oh well...better days are ahead!
I saw the challenge over at the CCEEE girls blog was "Cinco de Mayo" colors!  Didnt have to ask me twice cuz I bought this cute stamp in Santa Fe at a little stamp store on the square.  The dp is from a K & co. pad .  This card makes me think of the beautiful weather and good times I had there!  I also LOVE the colors for the challenge over at the Play Date Cafe-  PDCC80 .  Notice I just HAD to add a touch of turquoise  cuz it seems to be EVERYWHERE in New Mexico!  At  Paper Take weekly blog anything goes with an option to use something "round" on your card= the button.  TFL!

I colored the image with copics after looking at the ones in my yard! :)  Dp is BG and I did a little sewing and distressing.  Great for Mother's day!  If you havent noticed Tiffany has a bunch of NEW flowers at her store and they are just in time for Spring and Summer...take a look!  Next is a REAL honest to goodness Mother for Mother's day!  lol  Another adorable image from Eat Cake graphics.  This is so realistic and darn....I just LOVE these images over there!  lol  This image is called "A Day in the Life of Mom"...   appropriate!

I used my new BG "lauderdale" dp pad...real Spring and Summer like papers!  The sentiment is computer generated but I think the PICTURE says it all!  lol   Thanks for looking and heres to wishing all moms a very HAPPY Mother's day.....I celebrated tonite with my daughters because I am getting on a plane tomoro to celebrate with my two sons on Sunday!  yay!  I am one Blessed mom thats for sure! Feeling a little down?

I'm not now! lol  The sun is shining here today!! YAY!  It's been so long :)  I NEEDED to make a cute card...kwim?  I also wanted to play in the Unscripted Sketches challenge cuz I thought it was really a diferent look and love ribbon so this is also for the really reasonable ribbon challenge too. The challenge there is "double dutch" = use 2 ribbons.   I used my new Stella Rose dp pad (MME) ...omg it is soooo pretty..and colored this sweet pup from Eat cake graphics with copics.  The sentiment is computer generated (like most of mine) and I used a little twine and a gold silky ribbon.  Isnt this dog just the cutest?  TFL and if you have sunshine today like me...ENJOY...

Pre-cut shadow box die cut from Vicki Chrisman

So- I am so lucky! :)  I won a few shadow box die cut frames from Vicki Chrisman- her blog "this art makes me happy".  I had to make a gift for the secretary at our church and I had just gotten some really pretty K&co card stock stickers and some Stella Rose dp from MME so came together this little gift!  I only WISH the picture was better- we have had RAIN every day for atleast the last week...bummer! You can click on the pic to make it bigger.   The sentiment is computer generated and the flower was just some rolled dp.  Vicki C. has made so many of these cute frames using Crafty Secrets die cuts and she even sent me a few of those!  Since I LOVE vintage I will be sure to put them ALL to good use! tfl!
