A Vintage Valentine....

Today I am posting a vintage valentine that I loved making! The dp is Basic Grey and I made the envelope with one of those vinyl sheet envelope makers from a stamp show I went to several years ago. I gold emb some of the edges, and the photo lady was cut out of a 12x12 sheet I also had hanging around here. I love vintage and I saw something similar to this on scs a long time ago, - wish I remebered who ! TFL!

Our New Addition to the family!

Well couldnt let the day go by without posting a pic of the new addition to our family! After loosing 2 dogs...my husband said he will not bury another. We have been struggling to get used to not having my big dog around anymore. He was a wonderful dog and very close to my youngest son. This little guy became available,....the picture is the rest of the story! He hardly gets to sit alone! Not too mention he gets carried everywhere! My 2 kids still living at home are just smitten with him!! Oh, and my pug..."Patty" is thrilled to have a playmate! Only, the new pup isnt too thrilled with her just yet! lolol Forgot to mention, we STILL havent settled on a name yet!!! Hopefully today..... tfl!

He IS RISEN!

Here is another look at a new release for ODBD ! This is quite the set to make a statement with! This dp is also from that K & Co. Blue Awning pack. I also used that MS punch and the pearls are a little tinted green..had them for a long time..dont know where I got em but I love em! I did sew this card altho it may be a little hard to see. I love the sewing on cards...but I have to say that I think it is nice to do a little of everything...that means...I dont wana sew every card I make!! lolol Seems like more and more people are sewing EVERYTHING!! WOW, am I whining or what??.........I was looking for some flowers but didnt have any I liked so I cut out a piece of the dp and dabbed the edges. tfl!!!

"Lift Up Our Hands"...and Come Boldly......

It's Your Day! Rubbernecker Luncheon Meet stamp

I bought this stamp quite a while ago. However, one of my goals for the new year is to make sure I use ALL my stamps! (we all know how that goes! good intentions and everything) I was surfing scs and saw it used with this saying for a birthday and I thought it was hilarious. Ofcourse now that I am trying to find that card with the saying, I cant! (sorry) But then I found this card that Jennifer "the buck stamps here" http://thebuckstampshere.blogspot.com/ made and I cased it with my "spin" on it. The dp is 2 scoops again and fish are colored with copics and SU markers. The bubbles are stickles. It was really fun to make and I plan on giving to my sister this Friday for her birthday lunch. TFL!

Little Adobe in New Mexico....

Well, I have 5 sisters with 2 of them living in New Mexico now. I have been going to visit them for the last few years in the spring and once over Labor day wkend. If you have never experianced ABQ, Santa Fe or Taos before and you like art...this is the place to go! Oh, and did I mention margaritas????lololo Really, it is soooo artsy there and I LOVE to go and have fun with my sisters. This stamp is from a store there called Guadalupaes (sp. not correct I'm sure) Fun rubber stamps! It is on the plaza in Santa Fe. They have stamps there I have never seen before! Alot of "Day of the Dead" stamps too. Needless to say, this is where I got this stamp and it is from Stampamania. It is cold here now in OH and I felt the need to make a card with it to remind me of the warm sunshine there!! It is simple, copics, MS punch, pencils and Daisy doodles flowers. The dp was some old southwestern paper I had hanging around here. My sister has the red chiles hanging on her front door also, and she even has that little blue bench inside her house! tfl!!
